Who Are You, Astron Solutions?
Are you a new subscriber who hasn't fully explored the benefits of receiving Astronology every two weeks?

Are you a loyal reader who's lost track of everything going on at Astron Solutions?

With the start of a new year, we thought this the perfect time to present an Astron Solutions primer.

Several years ago, Jennifer Loftus and Michael Maciekowich started Astron Solutions. Since the company's modest beginnings, Astron Solutions has grown to serve over 135 clients in 21 states and the District of Columbia. Our clients represent more than 18 industries. Although our headquarters is in New York City, organizations across the country demand Astron Solutions' services because of our extensive compensation knowledge, our high levels of customer service, our fun approach to projects, and our flat fee project billing - all uncommon in the consulting world.

Everyone at Astron Solutions is dedicated to our friends' and clients' needs. If you have a question, anyone with whom you speak can assist you. Each member of the team does have his or her niche, however.

Michael Maciekowich, National Director, focuses on
  • Incentive compensation program design and implementation,
  • Performance management program design and implementation,
  • Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) analysis, and
  • Executive compensation.
Jennifer Loftus, National Director, specializes in
  • Base pay program design, implementation, and communication,
  • Custom salary surveys,
  • Exit interview system design and analysis,
  • Employee opinion survey design and analysis, and
  • HR automation.
Jennifer also manages Astron's internal administrative issues.

Jason Mitchell, Statistical Analyst, is our numbers wizard. He analyzes the data used in base pay, custom salary survey, exit interview, and employee opinion survey projects to arrive at the key issues facing organizations. Jason also develops methods to streamline HR processes.

Our staff has a variety of professional backgrounds.

Mike has twenty years in compensation consulting, having worked at firms including the HayGroup and Towers Perrin. Before becoming a consultant, Mike worked in HR at Zenith Electronics, Honeywell International, and the American Hospital Association. Mike has a Bachelor's degree in Political Science / Philosophy and a Master's degree in Industrial Relations, both from Loyola University of Chicago.

Jennifer has seven years of compensation consulting and HR experience, garnered at firms such as the HayGroup, Parsons Brinckerhoff, and Eagle Electric Manufacturing Company. Jennifer has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, with a minor in English, from Rutgers College, and a Master of Business Administration in Human Resource Management from Pace University. She is a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), Certified Benefit Professional (CBP), and Global Remuneration Professional (GRP). She is also an Adjunct Professor in Human Resources at Pace University.

Jason gained experience in statistical analyses at iN DEMAND Pay-Per-View, LLC prior to joining Astron Solutions. Jason has a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics, with an emphasis in probability and mathematical statistics, from Vassar College.

What's on tap for 2003?

Lots! In 2003, our dedication to our clients and friends will grow only stronger. Our e-newsletter Astronology will continue to arrive in your inbox every other Monday morning. Astronology will have a new feature containing trivia about all things Astron, called "Do You Know...". The Astron Road Show will bring us to a number of locations this year, including Orlando, Denver, Buffalo, Cape Cod, and Cape Canaveral. We also plan to bring a new staff member on board during the first half of 2003.

On March 27th, Astron Solutions will hold its first in a series of master group forums. On the agenda are what's hot in compensation, legislative updates, and a recruitment and retention information exchange. The forum will be held in New York City. To receive more information on the program, reply to this e-mail.

Three words best sum us up - unique, affordable, friendly.
